Linda F. Gorham, Ph.D

Licensed Psychologist

and Principal Consultant

Dr. Linda F. Gorham is the Founder & Principal at Paraklete Consulting, LLC.  She received her Ph.D. in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and her M.Div. degree from the former Biblical Theological Seminary (currently Missio Seminary) in Pennsylvania. She is also a licensed psychologist (State of Maryland). Dr. Gorham is also authorized to practice telepsychology (Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology - APIT) in the 35 states that currently participate in the interstate compact known as PSYPACT (E. Passport issued 5/26/21, Mobility Number #7950).


Dr. Gorham’s work in the fields of education and human development spans thirty years and includes work as a teacher, program director, researcher, and licensed child psychologist.  Much of Dr. Gorham’s research has focused on the development of underserved and ethnic minority children placed at risk for adverse developmental outcomes.  Her research also offers special insights about the role of churches and other community-based institutions in supporting the healthy development of children and families.  In addition, she has taught undergraduate and graduate education and psychology courses in human learning and cognition, human growth and development, research methods, developmental psychology, and psychology of exceptional children. Dr. Gorham is also a member of the Maryland Psychological Association.

Dr. Gorham’s leadership as a certified women/minority enterprise business owner, a non-profit executive, and a child and family advocate has made her a sought-after keynote speaker for child development conferences, parenting seminars, teacher education workshops, leadership retreats, and entrepreneurship events.

Carla Jackson, EdD
Program Evaluation Consultant

Dr. Carla Jackson is a researcher with a command for qualitative methodologies and a comprehensive knowledge of participatory/action research and art-based research designs that are empirically and aesthetically sound. Her doctorate is in education administration and she has a lens toward underrepresented and marginalized communities. Dr. Jackson’s experience and skills include conducting qualitative interviews, facilitating focus groups, performing field observations, leading data analysis, and managing scholarly writing.  She has a passion for multi-faceted story-telling that illuminates the human condition beyond data points. In addition to conducting qualitative research focused on minority

communities, she writes, edits, and reviews academic texts, and general manuscripts for publication.  Dr. Jackson has over twelve years of experience teaching education courses in various Maryland colleges and universities and continues to research and write about diversity, equity, and factors that impact minority populations.
